An unrestricted gift allows you to receive an income tax deduction and allows us the opportunity to use your generous gift where we have the most need. You may also designate your gift to a specific program or college scholarship. There are numerous ways you can make a monetary contribution to MWKF.

We will not sell or trade a donor’s personal information to any other entity unless we receive written permission from the donor.

Sponsor A Champion

You can make a difference in the life of a child through our Sponsor A Champion Program. You will be personally matched with a child who will have the opportunity to get to know you, write you and treasure the thought that you care! The cost is just $30 a month (or a one time annual gift of $300). We ask sponsors to commit to sponsoring a child for a minimum of one school year. As a sponsor, you will receive quarterly updates on your sponsored child. This will include a short note from your child as well as updates on their tennis and academic progress. Most sponsors and ‘champions’ enjoy together time during our annual end of the year Sponsor-A-Champion BBQ. Sponsors are also welcome to arrange a visit during our TnT program. Although MWKF is not listed as an "official" agency on the United Way agency, you can still designate the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation as your charity of choice when you make your United Way employee designation or Alexis de Tocqueville pledge. Simply list MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation under ‘other’. You do NOT need an organization code; listing our name will make sure your donation gets to us!

Tennis Racquets (gently used NEWER adult & youth racquets)
Tennis Balls (new or gently used)
Educational Software (Windows Vista Compatible)
School Supplies (particularly notebook paper, pencils, erasers, hardback notebooks, notebook dividers, and science boards)
Bathroom, Kitchen & Cleaning Supplies (especially toilet tissue, paper towels, garbage bags of all sizes, and disposable plates, napkins, cups and silverware)

Corporate Matches

Many employees have matching gift programs through which your generosity to the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation can be multiplied. Some companies match volunteer hours with a cash contribution as well. Be sure to also request MWKF as your corporate organization's charity of choice. Please obtain the appropriate form from your company’s human resource/personnel department and include it with your gift.
