First Coast Families Offered FREE Admission for ‘Kids 4 Kids Carnival’
Event Sponsored by Verizon Wireless and Coggin Automotive
Jacksonville, Fla. – April 23, 2007 – On Saturday, May 12th, the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation (MWKF) will host its sixth annual Verizon Wireless Kids 4 Kids Carnival. The event starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m.
This year’s Carnival is being held in conjunction with the RITA Foundation CASH Run and promises to be filled with family fun. Located in the parking lot of Host Sponsor Mercantile Bank (9715 Gate Parkway), activities include bounce houses, Tennis Block Party, games and prizes, crafts, and more! All are welcome to attend!
Sponsors for the event include title sponsor Verizon Wireless, presenting sponsor Coggin Automotive, host sponsor Mercantile Bank, and 690 WOKV.
All proceeds for this event benefit the programs and services of the MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation.
The MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation was established by ’96 Wimbledon finalist MaliVai Washington to introduce the game of tennis to youth who otherwise might not be exposed to the sport and use it as a tool to help develop positive life skills and encourage academic achievement. MWKF runs a free, comprehensive after-school program in the Durkeeville area and has introduced tennis into the lives of more than 14,000 local children.
