A Record-Breaking Success

With your support, we raised over $400,000 to fund brighter futures right here in our community — a record-breaking achievement for MWYF.

To every guest, donor, and supporter: thank you for showing up, giving back, and believing in our youth.

Our 2025 Sherman Family Champions for Children Gala was an unforgettable celebration of achievement, community, and inspiration. The evening included a special appearance by the legendary Bryan Brothers - Bob and Mike, who were inducted in to the International Tennis Hall of Fame earlier this year. Their live panel discussion offered a rare and engaging look into their careers, teamwork, and life lessons from decades at the top of the tennis world.

Another memorable moment of the evening came when we announced the exciting news of a new pavilion—Pat’s Place—being built in honor of Pat Geraghty’s retirement from Florida Blue. Pat and Ingrid Geraghty’s generosity will create a meaningful, permanent space for students, families, and supporters, leaving a legacy that beautifully reflects Pat’s longstanding commitment to our community.

We were also honored to present the George M. Soper Student-Athlete of the Year Scholarship to Sa’Niya J., whose dedication, character, and excellence earned admiration from all who attended. Alongside her, many additional students were awarded scholarships, underscoring the impact of our supporters and the bright future ahead for these young leaders.

Our live and silent auctions added energy throughout the evening, helping raise essential support for our programs. We extend our deepest thanks to all who attended, donated, volunteered, and celebrated with us—your involvement made this year’s Gala a remarkable success. As we move closer to celebrating our 30th year as a foundation, we are excited to build on this momentum and invite everyone to get ready for an unforgettable year in 2026.
